The first I posted in Downtown Albuquerque this morning at the
crossroads of 4th and Central, old Route 66. Despite the location, it's
not too busy with foot traffic. The city is trying to attract
interesting and creative people to the urban core but it's an uphill
battle as the only businesses that really seem to thrive here are bars.
The homeless of the city congregate here on an underutilized pedestrian
mall. Sometimes it's a sad sight, and while I've never cried here in
public I'm sure many have. One snowy night I picked up a woman with no
leg here and drove her home a mile away.
